What should be considered in Architectural Landscape LED Lighting Design?
Consideration for architectural landscape LED lighting design, following aspects need be confirmed firstly:

1.Viewing Direction
Buildings can be seen from different directions and angles, but usually we have to decide on a particular direction as the main viewing direction before we proceed with the design.

2 Viewing Distance
Basically, viewing distance need be suitable for normal person. Distance will affect the clarity of the observation of the facade, as well as the determination of the luminescence level.

3 Surrounding Environment and Background.
The light and shade of the surrounding environment and background will affect the building required illumination. If the perimeter is dark, less light is needed to illuminate the building; if the perimeter is bright, the light must be strengthened to highlight it.

Refer to the design of architectural landscape lighting, it can be roughly divided into following steps:

1.Confirm the desired lighting effect
Buildings may have different lighting effects because of their different appearance, or more uniform, or light and shade changes more strongly; can also be a more plain way of expression, or a more lively way of expression; Are determined by the properties of the building itself.

2.Choose suitable light source.
Light color, color rendering, efficiency, life and other factors should be considered in the selection of light source. The color of light is related to the color of the exterior wall of the building. Generally speaking, the BRICS and yellowish-brown stones are suitable for warm light.
.Confirm the brightness

The required brightness mainly depends on the light and shade of the surrounding environment as well as the color of the building exterior wall material. We suggest the brightness is for the main facade. Generally speaking, the secondary facade brightness is half of the main facade, their brightness difference can show building’s stereoscopic feeling.

4. Selection of suitable lamps
Generally speaking, the square flood light has a larger angle of light distribution; the round lamp beam angle is smaller; the flood beam lamp brings more uniform lighting effect, but it is not suitable for long distance lighting, the small beam lamp is suitable for longer distance lighting. however, the uniformity is poorer when used at close lighting.

5. Calculation on lamps luminescence and quantity
After finishing above steps, we can confirm lamps quantity based on light source, lamps style and installation place, etc... so that the real lighting effect after the installation can be as close as possible to the desired effect. The appearance of the building is represented by the lamps lighting at night, and the effect is quite different from that during the day. Therefore, in the LED lighting engineering design, the lighting effect at night does not have to be same as it during the day, but lighting is important to show the characteristics of the building.
